ETF Stretch — Snapshot ?
What this table shows
Per-ETF readings of 7 stretch / trend / breadth metrics, each rendered as a triplet:
  • Value — today's raw reading (%, multiples, or t-statistic depending on metric)
  • σ — standard deviations from this ETF's own 5-year mean of that metric
  • P — percentile rank (0–100): % of days in the 5-year history where the metric was lower than today
Historical baseline
All σ and P columns are measured against the last ~5 years (1,260 trading days) of daily readings for that same ETF and metric.
  • Point-in-time metrics (Price Vs 21d EMA, Vol-Adjusted Distance, Realized Volatility) → today's value vs every daily reading in the 5Y window.
  • Window metrics (Cumulative Return, Trend Strength) → today's trailing-60d value vs every overlapping rolling-60d window in the 5Y span.
  • Breadth metrics (% of Stocks Above 50d / 100d SMA) → daily aggregates across the ETF's constituents, then today's reading vs the 5Y history of that aggregate.
How to read the colors
The P column carries a continuous color gradient — P=50 reads white (median), P→100 fades to green (stretched up vs baseline), P→0 fades to red (depressed). Bold weight kicks in at |σ| ≥ 2 or P ≤ 5 / ≥ 95 ("rare"), heavier bold at |σ| ≥ 3 or P ≤ 1 / ≥ 99 ("tail").

Sector Performance — What's Leading the Market
?
How to read
Each cell is the total return of the ETF over that period. Green = positive, red = negative; intensity scales within each column so leaders/laggards stand out.
Why this matters
  • Identifies which sectors are pulling the broader market — if SPY +12% but it's all XLE/SOXX, the rest is hiding weakness.
  • Defensive leadership (XLP/XLU/XLV) = late-cycle / risk-off; cyclical leadership (XLY/XLI/XLF) = early/mid cycle.
  • XBI vs IBB delta = clinical-stage risk appetite; XBI vs XLV = pure biotech vs broad healthcare regime.
